Northwestern Mutual - Chicago Golfers Swing for a Cause

Two rain delays didn't dampen the spirits of golfers and a team of volunteers at our third annual golf outing.  The charitable event raised more than $40,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

We're grateful to our financial professionals who played in the tournament, our generous sponsors, and associates who planned and volunteered the day of the event.  The money raised will fund 800 hours of research into new treatments and cures for childhood cancer.

Northwestern Mutual – Chicago Presents Athletic Leadership Award

A sprinter on the Concordia University track team, Chelsee Wilson's sports leadership, academic excellence and service to her community is why she was selected to receive the Northwestern Mutual - Chicago Athletic Leadership Award. In recognition of Chelsee’s achievements, we will donate $500 to the Heart Smart Max Schewitz Foundation, a local non-profit that supports education, prevention, and research of sudden cardiac death in young people.

Helping Hands Make Care Packages for Hospitalized Kids

There were a lot of helping hands, both big and small when Northwestern Mutual – Chicago transformed its office into a production line assembling goodie bags for hospitalized children. Tables filled with books, toys, puzzles and other goodies were overflowing as volunteers packed more than 70 bags that were delivered to the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s Hospital.

The volunteers also made personalized cards with uplifting messages for Cards for Hospitalized Kids and helped raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Learn more about our philanthropic initiatives.
